WOW! is all I can say about summer so far….. Right after school was over Ethan was bite by a spider and ended up with a severe infection!!! He was on antibiotics and had 2 large black circles on his arm and leg where the bites were to see if the infection was growing up his arm and leg. The scariest part of the whole thing was the line that was heading up his arm where the infection was going to his underarm…He was a trooper, and took his medicine for itching and infection and is all better–I thought all would go smoothly the rest of summer break….WELL, of course NOT. 
Last Saturday Ethan and Larry were going to swim. I was in the kitchen doing dishes. Ethan comes running in the house saying Daddy had fallen into the pool. I thought he was at the bottom of the pool, and went running outside. He sat on the deck in horrid pain. I knew it was not just a simple trip and fall, but he had broken his ankle. After several hours at the ER we left with a splint on his leg, and a list of Ortho. doctors here in town. Monday morning comes along only 2 offices in this town of MANY Ortho doctors do ankles…one said they could get him in on the 28th of July??? WHAT??? Luckily the other practice worked him in. The Dr. said you need surgery, so Tuesday afternoon they place 6 screws and a plate in his left ankle. MAN I hope summer gets better…I am EXHAUSTED!!!!
