Last Day of Elementary School…

At the end of May was Meredith’s last day of elementary school as she will be moving onto Jr. High School in the fall. It was a hard day for me as that was the last day that all three children will be at the same school at the same time. It was also sad for her as many of her friends will be attending different schools this fall. I remember 6th grade..I remember crying all day long knowing that I was going to miss my friends and SCARED to death of what awaited me in Jr. High School. We are fortunate enough to live right near the school (within walking distance). I was in the living room picking up when I noticed this large crowd of kids at the school.  I just knew it had to be Meredith and her friends. (see photo below) She called me from her phone and sounded all stuffy(as if she had been crying), and asked if she could say awhile longer. I told her yes–as I could see her from the front window. As I think back it seems like I was just taking her to Kindergarten Ethan was only 2 weeks old. The time just flew by. She is closing one chapter of her education, and moving on to an even bigger and more challenging chapter of education with a few more chapters to follow. I know that she can do whatever is placed before her she is one smart cookie!!
